I have spent twelve years at home educating both my children from kindergarten through the eighth grade using the Abeka curriculum primarily as well as care giving for an elderly parent and blind friend. After both my children entered high school I began writing and went on to write twelve books with the publication of one fiction novel as well as a work of poetry. I was one of three keynote speakers at the Tucson Literacy Summit in April 2007 and was awarded an honorary check. The book published was awarded Best Social Commentary 2007 by christianstoryteller.com. I have written eleven fiction novels, all of which I am in the process of seeking to publish as well as one nonfiction book in the area of health. I’ve had works printed in church newspapers, articles as well as works of poetry, and am a member of the National Writers Union. I’m an avid reader and researcher in many various fields and topics including but not limited to religion, criminal justice, law, mental health and medical advances and health topics. Although I do not possess an impressive formal education I have spent decades educating myself and both my children as well through the use of the public library system, private curriculums and the Internet.
